Our latest dbt™ data model for SAP replicates common SAP extraction reports to help enterprise customers better understand and analyze their business critical data. These models include all the primary master data extractor reports and some financial extractor reports.

This package includes:

• For customers wanting their master data extractor reports, we've brought in essential master attribute and master text tables used by most customers, including Company Code, Customer, Employee, G/L Account Number, Material Data and Vendor.
• For customers wanting transaction data, we've recreated general financial extractor reports like General Ledger: Balances, Leading Ledger and Line Items Leading Ledger.

Unlocking the power of your SAP data

SAP reporting is very challenging to build and construct. But, it often holds business-critical data. Whether you’re trying to analyze your financials, business operations or inventory logistics — you need access to clean, analytics-ready data. This, however, is difficult when you can’t centralize and easily customize your SAP data.

That’s why we built this package. Providing this replication of extractor reports that you see within SAP’s UI saves time for your data team to rebuild the necessary reporting, allowing them more time to focus on gathering insights. These models build on top of our Fivetran connector loaded data, allowing you to extend your existing reporting by retaining the initial field naming. This prevents any current reporting from breaking and ensures you can utilize our models more easily. We've also built out robust documentation of field definitions so your entire team can understand the translation between the SAP field conventions and their intended business descriptions.

These models work in tandem with Fivetran's SAP connectors, like HVR SAP Netweaver, HVA SAP ECC or SAP ERP on HANA and build off the output of our SAP source package. When you deploy these models with your chosen dbt tooling, you immediately turn loaded SAP data into analytics-ready tables. If you choose to use Fivetran Transformations for dbt Core™* you can manage and orchestrate the model runs sequentially with your connector load.
